Fiche technique complète

It's 5:30 p.m. Fog is falling over the driven hunt. Your dog has just set off after a roe deer, alone, in a direction you don't know. In twenty minutes he will cover 3 kilometres, cross two streams, and you won't know where to look.
Unless you have the RoG Area IV.
You take out your telephone, open the application, and see his blue dot in real time on the map. You know exactly where to go, how many metres away, in which direction. You recover him before nightfall.
It's not a gadget. It's the assurance of finding your dog at every driven hunt, every walk, every escape. Compact, lightweight, waterproof, it fits on a standard collar and works anywhere in the world via the 4G LTE network — without distance limit. Integrated global eSIM, 1st year of data included.
Three things set the RoG Area IV apart from everything else on the market:
Most consumer dog GPS trackers (Tractive, Weenect, Kippy) are sold cheaply but require a subscription of £5 to £10 per month. Over 5 years of use, this represents £300 to £600 hidden costs. The RoG Area IV integrates a global multi-network eSIM with 1st year of data included. Then, a simple one-off payment (from £55 for 1 additional year). No monthly debit, ever.
The RoG Area IV achieves 10 to 15 days in standby mode and 40 hours of continuous active tracking, thanks to intelligent energy management that adapts the refresh rate to the animal's behaviour. No need to recharge every evening.
Nearly all trackers use 2 or 3 location systems. RoG combines four simultaneously: American GPS, Chinese BeiDou, AGPS (assisted positioning) and LBS (cellular triangulation). At every moment, the device selects the most reliable source. Result: 5-metre precision, even in dense forest, urban areas or mountains — where others fail.
You are 8 hunters over 200 hectares. Your Griffon dashes off on a scent and disappears into thick woodland. On your telephone, his point continues to move. In 4 minutes you see he has stopped 800 m away — probably at the farm. You reach the exact position without shouting, without honking, without spending 20 minutes recalling him. Time saved: 45 minutes of the hunt, a dog not exhausted, a successful capture.
Your Malinois regularly jumps over the fence. You set up a forbidden zone (geofencing) around the house. As soon as he crosses the perimeter, instant push notification on your telephone. You open the app: he is 300 m away, at the neighbour's. You recover him before he reaches the road.
An outing with your two Australian Shepherds in an area with weak 4G coverage. The 4-system mode guarantees a position even when only a single satellite constellation is available. In case of loss, the audible and luminous locator function triggers an alarm on the unit remotely — you find them by sound, even in wind noise.

The standout feature of the RoG Area IV: the virtual fence. Define a safety zone in the application, and if your dog crosses the boundary, the collar automatically emits a sound signal, a vibration or light electrical stimulation to call him back — even in the complete absence of GSM network, thanks to the direct VHF link between the GPS and the collar. 4G LTE GPS tracking serves real-time positioning on the map, whilst VHF ensures local communication without relying on the cellular network.
🛰️ 4 positioning systems — the technical explanationA tracker's GPS precision depends on how many satellites it can see simultaneously. A standard GPS uses a minimum of 4, a good one 8 to 12. The RoG Area IV combines up to 30 different satellites thanks to its 4 systems:
GPS (United States) — 31 satellites, historical global coverage
BeiDou (China) — 35 satellites, particularly precise in Asia and Europe
GLONASS (Russia) — 24 satellites, excellent coverage at high latitudes
AGPS (Assisted GPS) — uses network data to speed up the initial fix (< 5 s instead of 30 s)
LBS (Location Based Services) — cellular antenna triangulation, takes over when no satellite is visible (indoors, under dense cover)
The RoG processor automatically switches between sources in 200 ms depending on the best signal quality. You never lose your dog's position.
The mobile application (iOS + Android, in French) gives you complete control:
Real-time map — position updated every 5 to 30 seconds depending on the mode chosen
Movement history — 90 days of archives in the cloud, included. You can replay the dog's exact route at the speed you want.
Forbidden zones (geofencing) — draw a perimeter on the map. Immediate alert on exit.
Audible and luminous locator — trigger an alarm + LED flash on the unit remotely to find a hidden dog or one at short range
Remote voice monitor — listen to the environment around your animal (useful for identifying a danger situation: traffic, barking, people)
Push notifications — low battery, zone exit, abnormal stop (dog stationary for more than X minutes)
Family sharing — up to 5 accounts linked to the same tracker (parents + children + carer)

Yes. The integrated multi-network eSIM automatically connects to the best local 4G network in over 150 countries. France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, and many others: optimal coverage without any manipulation. No need to change SIM card or activate roaming — it's automatic.
The name "4G + VHF" refers to dual communication redundancy. In 4G area: real-time tracking via the application (normal mode). In area without 4G coverage (isolated mountain, deep forest, basement): the tracker automatically switches to LBS mode (cellular triangulation) then records the last known position with timestamp. As soon as it finds signal again, it pushes all pending positions to the application. You lose nothing. For the rare cases of total network loss, the audible and luminous locator that can be triggered remotely (range up to 300 m) allows you to find the dog by ear and sight.
