Allow 24 hours drying time at ambient temperature for complete waterproofing. Avoid any immersion during this period.

Can a standard silicone adhesive from a hardware shop work?

Not recommended. Standard silicones do not have the same adhesion formulation for TR DOG beacon materials, and many contain acetic acid which damages electronics. Use the dedicated adhesive.
