To add: a Nano 4G SIM card (any French operator) for mobile connectivity. You can also use the camera in WiFi only if you are within router coverage.
\n\nNo. The camera operates with a standard Nano 4G SIM card (any operator, data plan of your choice — a plan costing a few euros per month is more than sufficient). The app is free for life. Local storage on SD card (32 GB included) avoids any recurring cloud costs. An optional cloud subscription is available if you prefer remote backup.
\n\nYes. The 6W panel is sized to recharge the 12,000 mAh battery even in overcast conditions. In winter, the camera remains operational continuously — the battery takes over during the darkest days. Several weeks autonomy with no sun at all, more than enough to cover an extended period of poor weather.
\n\nThe camera needs 4G LTE coverage to transmit live. In an area where only 3G/EDGE is available, it records locally on the SD card and syncs when it detects 4G. For a completely uncovered area, it continues to film locally (recording mode) — you retrieve the videos when you next pass by.
